Well, she was paying attention and not wrong
I was talking to my boss about a horse she’d gone to try. A coworker very indignantly turned around. “Did you just call that horse lame? How dare you!” There were several minutes of confusion before we pieced together that she wasn’t familiar with the term outside of the second, less than flattering definition!
A nice coworker visited my horses for the first time today. I gave her a wee ride on my older gelding and then decided to put a ride on my recently backed youngster, using the coworker as a “safety net” to just watch over us in case anything happens.
As we were walking towards the arena, my youngster was a bit tense and started prancing/passaging at random stuff.
“Oh, how elegantly he walks!”, my coworker expressed innocently, while I’m realising in the saddle that dressage might be his strong suite after all.
