Yes LOL. I actually bought a farm almost two years ago. 14 stalls on 5 acres but I only have two horses and at most would have 4. I don’t have time for any more than that. It was extremely affordable (went about 2 hours south of Chicago), the taxes are low, I have an indoor arena, beautiful lit outdoor, and a very unique home. It’s my little slice of paradise! Also since this thread was originally posted, I got married AND divorced LOL. So I’m doing it on my own. Thank goodness I didn’t get something bigger that requires more time and money to maintain.
Yeah I love when people say to not buy anything with a fiance because husbands are more permanent… Been divorced twice, built my farm on my own after the second one
OP any pics??
He was useless. Wouldn’t even mow the lawn, much less have the motivation and work ethic to maintain a farm.
There are a few pics on the farm FB page: https://www.facebook.com/IndianSummerFarm/
How strange, my second ex was the same way, didn’t understand why I said I wouldn’t buy a farm with him… .
Your farm is gorgeous! So green, I miss that about Wisconsin.
Thank you! I’m in central IL, so it’s even warmer and greener here LOL.
