Packing your trunk for shows

How does the Stanley roll on pea gravel or other not-so compacted ground? The wheels look small to handle that kind of thing.

I have a small wheeled box I’ve had for years but it’s small wheels are tough on pea gravel. Ok on grass or compacted ground.

The FatMax sounds interesting - I’ll check it out as my tote not quite what it used to be - there’s bungies involved now.

I don’t know on loose peagravel, but on a gravel road, mine did just fine.

I like the FatMax, but I was thinking more on the order of this http://www.doversaddlery.com/product.asp?pn=X1-47118&ids=946404131&bhcd2=1235779676 only without the 600$ pricetag.

Dont forget the Tequila…
Must have adaquate Tequlia in the tack stall at ALL times.

:lol::D:D We actually have a soft side cooler on wheels for the Cadillac Margarita fixins’. We call it the Red Neck Liquor Cabinet :lol::lol:

The custom trunk covers (x large size) from Smartpak fit them nicely and help dress up
your area

Yeah, that is sweet. But the price tag gets it off my list in a hurry. That money could be lessons or clincs or shows…

This is such a funny thread! I just happen to buy one of the 50 gal Stanleys at the Home Depot when I was moving my horse to a new barn (about a year ago)… didn’t think a thing of it, just happy I paid only like $60 for it compared to a “tack trunk”!!

Well, a girl at the barn sees mine, and gets herself one… Then two more people… then I found out from someone else that the local Home Depot has SOLD OUT of them!

I had NO idea I was so on the cutting edge!

Well…Ahem…I just got myself one at Home Depot for CAD $99. Thank for the tip.!!! My wonderful barn does not offer lockers and I now have a cheap tack trunk to safely put away my stuff

I think Stanley is missing a marketing niche by not offering a vertical saddle trunk for 100-150$ They would make a mint!
