Another thing that might help are the thinline stirrup wraps. They stay put and add cushion to the ball of my foot.
Thanks. I may actually have a pack of these somewhere. I just have to find them.
I have a neuroma too so literally feel your pain. I went to the drugstore and got the gel pads that are like a rounded triangle. I have them in all my shoes and boy do they make the difference!!! Position it just behind the neuroma to make that part of the foot more level and take the pressure off. I was in agony for almost a year but no more. Its important too to wear good supportive shoes…like stiff addidas tennis shoes instead of sketchers flimsy ones. Those gel pads though…amazing. the podiatrist had me molded for orthodics but the pads did the trick!
Hi MzCarol! Can you be more specific about the gel pads? Maybe who makes them, etc? I think I understand what you are describing but I’m not sure. Thank you!
^^^ Thank you!
I don’t have what you have but I have a terrible bone spur on my right foot which at times is so painful I can’t walk. So finding boots to fit me is very very difficult. To make matters worse I have narrow feet. So most boots do not fit me. I found buying a pair of Ariat insoles helps. You can buy them for $20 at Dover’s. You may have to size up a half size to make them work but they do add a nice layer of padding. I replace mine every year or two. I am also getting ready to order a pair of new boots from Ariat, the Ascent Paddock Boot. I don’t know if they will work but it worth a try. I buy Tucci boots (they are expensive but are the only Paddock boots so far that fit me). Try the Ascent or the Ego7.
Thanks, monalisa. I do use Ariat inserts, too, in other shoes and boots, and like them. Doesn’t seem enough for my paddock boot issue though. Bummer. It’s more of an arch thing, and a pad to spread the metatarsals out in the foot. Good luck with your Ascent. Let me know how you like them.
