Juddmonte does not own a slot, though CC LLC does, so it looks like the Arrogate/CC match up is highly unlikely. With Nyquist retired, Reddam needs an older horse. Runhappy connections need to get their act together to make their speedster a 9f horse. Good luck with that. Time for a farm vacation or new trainer. I remember a thread sometime ago when a post suggested that Runhappy’s real trainer was his groom. That might be a step up, all things considered.

Runhappy I would agree either needs to retire or a new trainer and please, please stop with the, IMO, pointless TV commercials.

Runhappy is retired so he’s out of Pegasus consideration now, which is probably the best thing to happen to him this year.

I’m starting to wonder if this race will even happen. You basically have Chrome and nobody. I’d be surprised if Arrogate shows, he has a full year of races and his owner sure doesn’t need the money.

I feel like the the people who bought in rather than having hot tickets are going to be begging to find horses to fill their spots. And if the field is no good, the handle won’t be that good and they won’t make their money. This has mediocre letdown written all over it.
