I did enjoy speaking with Brian Egan. He was honest, as everyone I have heard from told me he would be. He was also very patient as I brought my English girl vocabulary and sense of good conformation to the table, and he brought his more Western background. Fortunately, we both knew what “grit” means and communicated pretty well about what I’d want in a horse.
Their beloved stallion, Dynamic Krymsun, “Rocky” died in a pasture accident in 2017 and believe this year’s two-year-olds were the last babies of his. I think they are standing One Hot Krymsun, Rocky’s sire, and I think Brian said they have some frozen semen of his.
It looks like their program will go in more of a reining and Western events direction in the future, but this is the guess of a very uneducated outsider.
I certainly will go back to Penn State’s sale in the future if I need what they have. I’m very glad to have learned of this program and sale. Thanks for contributing to that, y’all!
