Is his wife still in her key USEF role? Because that’s pretty messy…
I have no idea. You might look at the USEF website to see if she’s still in whatever position she was in.
I see value in making it know simply for the fact that there may be a person out there who might recognized that they were a victim. It may help them seek counseling, if needed and help them clarify and make sense of their younger life
It may help them become aware and be a guardian helper of others, breaking the cycle
Very well stated.
As much as I would like to see The Tale, there’s a part of me that dreads viewing it. It sounds like it might elicit too many bad memories from a certain era of my life with horses.
Yet that’s also the ugly beauty of a film like The Tale. It drags out the long hidden, unspoken secrets of the equestrian world and gives it exposure to light. Ultimately, that can have a cleansing effect. And I’m confident I’m not the only one who’d watch the film and quietly nod, “Yes, that’s how it was back then, when they had so much power, and no one believed us.”
Thank God things are changing. Slowly. But changing nonetheless.
The wife of the Oregon trainer has been telling everyone she had no clue about his indiscretions. Ya, right!!! One of the girls was living in her house when all this was going on. Plus his terrible behavior was well known in the horse community for over a decade.
It is becoming an epidemic.
The west coast is obviously a cesspool when it comes to trainers.
Turning into cockroaches.
And they wonder why the east coast looks down on them. Joking but not really. The horse world has a lot of bad people but it seems the majority are west coasters.

Not saying the west coast is perfect, but neither is the east coast or midwest.
Highly recommend reading Hot Blood.
Chicago is NOT the east coast . Regardless I’m not throwing shade it just seems y’all have a lot more shady people in recent memory.
Have read hot blood and am very familiar with PV.
She said East Coast or Midwest. Three of those 4 are East Coast. Jayne is Midwest.
And yet I was specifically speaking about the east coast. Also, and this was my bad, speaking about my east coast opinion that I will admit is pretty snobby on face value.
But that’s cool you speak up for your friend.
I actually don’t know Peggy, just pointing out that she did specify that her list was including the Midwest.
We do have our share in the East, look at the numbers for the current ban list.
@Jenerationx I wasn’t stating facts, I don’t even consider the US home anymore, although home is where my parents are if that makes sense.
I said “it seems”. I admitted it was snobby. No need to make onto a huge discussion. Here, I’ll help, you’re right.
Ya good now?
Thanks, Peggy. Just wanted to add:

Not a very good ambassador for the East Coast, apparently. I’ve lived both places and don’t recall anyone looking down on either coast. I guess I ran with nicer people.
Well good thing I’m out of the country than eh? Never claimed to be an ambassador so take my comments as you will. Sorry you’re lacking on drama but you’re barking up the wrong tree if ya want to start it with me on this thread.
Not trying to start anything. We’re all horsepeople, and I see no reason for anyone to look down on others.
Have a nice day/evening wherever you are.
