We have our own farm, which we only own because of the horses. How much of the property tax do you consider being “toward the hobby”?
Honestly, it’s probably pretty darn close to 100% of our net income. My SO and I both work from home, we have one older paid off truck (which, again, is that a personal expense or a horse expense? I’d say horse), we are very low maintenance people. Human groceries have skyrocketed as everyone knows, so that’s maybe $500-600/mo for two adults, including takeout a few times a month.
Other than that… yeah, it literally all goes to the horses.
