Places to stay with your horses in GA or AL

Can anyone give me recommendations on places to stay with your horses and trail ride in Alabama or Georgia? I prefer a cabin with a barn but I am open to suggestions. I don’t know anything about Alabama. In Georgia I was looking around the Madison area to ride at Hard Labor Creek and the other state parks.

Thanks

Watson Mill Bridge State Park is the other side of Madison from Hard Labor Creek State park. They have some very nice cabins for rent right next to the horse barns. I’ve been there a few times and the camping area is very nice, the barns are adequate and the trails are beautiful.

The only places I can think of with cabins in AL really aren’t all that desirable.

KC Ranch
Heart of Dixie Trail Ride

Seven Springs Lodge has some interesting accommodations, but I haven’t been so I cannot comment.

Heart of Dixie isn’t bad, we go there every year for Thanksgiving!

Oh, I enjoy riding there, and we camp in a LQ. However the cabins are not what I think of when I think of renting a cabin and riding

I forgot about Rock Bridge Canyon in Hodges, AL

the Canyon campground is tiny but quite close to their only cabin. Super cute, super private cabin.

the main campground is not too far away, where you’d check in. The town of Hodges is invested in growing this neat place.

It is gorgeous. I highly recommend it.

Watson Mill State Park is wonderful. Two cabins, stalls, and I think it is seventeen miles of trails. It is in Madison County which is about an hour and a half north of Madison the town.

We live about fifteen minutes away and go there a good bit.

I’m planning to go here this year - the reviews look great.

It is nice. I don’t recommend the trail up to the apple orchard.
