Two set as an L or V gives good protection.
Most any welding shop or carpenter in our area can make them also.
They are very popular, as you can move them around if your needs change, take then with you when you move or resell when you don’t need them any more:

Kudos to your very inventive neighbor!
When my barn had the final inspection I sweat bullets as I hadn’t permitted the hydrant inside 
My hayguy had a friend whose son worked for a plumber & that’s who put in the hydrant, tied to the house supply & laid the piping 500+ft from house to barn.
Inspector barely looked at a thing, gave me the Sticker of Approval & left.
20yrs later that sticker is still stuck on my circuit breaker box.
