you need to talk to your attorney on that as courts look to the age and intellectual ability of the injured child to determine if he or she is able to appreciate the risk of harm
Hmm, my understanding is if you do not post no trespassing signs at a certain distance you are in essence “allowing” people to come on your property. I will check this out.
Thank you for your comments! The road up to the house is a private one shared with one other house which is the reason for the barn being there for easy vet and farrier access. The main road barely has anyone past us and is a fairly quiet place so I would only be worried about hikers and stuff. Thanks!
That’s great! Our road is private, but has a lot of houses past us and joy riders on the weekends. They tear up our dirt road and then go back to their subdivisions and brag about living the rural lifestyle.
I’ve addressed that personally by running hotwire along the top of my fence (4’ no climb) all around the perimeter. It keeps my horse from leaning on it and discourages human interaction.
