I’m jingling away - c’mon, Bullet!
Oh, I can’t imagine the stress your friend must be going through! Here’s hoping Bullet is okay. He’s tough, he’s a Lippizan!
You can do it Bullet!
- Had a colic surgery in my “family” in Jan. of this year. Murph pulled through with flying colors. Last night, I told Murph about Bullet and he insisted on sending some of his good luck to Bullet.
We’re pulling for you, big guy!
Murphy, Bogart & Brenda
Jingle from all 50+ at our place.
Get well! We’ll send you some homemade apple pie!
He still does not look great, but John thinks a lot of that is due to the fact that it is ten bazillion degrees out in Chino (Merry lives not too far away - is it a nightmare or what?).
However, he is a bit more interested in Senior Feed, even though he thinks the hay there is below him. He’s on the calendar to come home this week, and the bandages came off a few days ago. He is back to whinnying, which we all take as a good sign, and scarfs up carrots. He just has a real opinion about the hay.
It was a bit touch and go, and they did have to force feed him a few times.
He still needs jingling and rattling of the chains, so thank everyone in advance for the new jingles! You’re the best.
We’re sending prayers to the Horse Gods for Bullet!
Oh, I hope everything turns out okay. I’ll say extra prayers tonight for Bullet! And I’ll even jingle a curb chain (though I don’t quite understand what that’s about).
Sending more wishes and luck from NY.
My thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.
Jingling, and jingling for Bullet. Keep us updated coreene. If he makes it thru this, he will be one of the special ones! We have horsey prayers being said at our barn.
We will keep jingling coreene. A friend just took her horse to Spruce and did very well. This one had colic surgery last year. So they can come thru. We will keep hoping and say a few prayers with the jingling.
We are with you Bullet.
Curbs are jingling softly…Poor Bullet and John, hopefully he will beat those odds…
i am coming out of lurkdom to send Bullet my prayers and good wishes from New York.
He even asked to send one of his remaining carrots to you.
“The older I get, the better I used to be.”
Prayers and best wishes are being sent Bullet and John’s way, as well as jingle jingle jingle…
I have sent this thread on to John. Last word, which was a few hours ago, is that he is “holding his own.”
If he puts as much gusto into getting better as he does with trying to kill Willem over the fence (they love to have loud screaming play Gelding Fights), he will come through with flying colors.
Thank you again. Love you all.
He was much less druggy as the day went by, and he is feeling “more like a horse.”
Apparently he said, via a human translator, that he thanks everyone for their continued good wishes and sends a big stropping kiss to every one of you. xxx
Awwwww, how sweet of Bud!!
We’re all still thinking good thoughts and jingling those curb chains for you, Bullet. May today and tomorrow be a repeat of yesterday’s good news from Coreene!
Our dear friend Bullet, a 14 yo Lippizan, went to the hospital last night. They did a bowel resection and only give him about a 60% chance.
Please jingle your chains for Bullet and John. Bullet was rescued from New Holland by John quite some time ago and has successfully competed with him in Hunters and Dressage, PLUS he is a police horse as well with the LA County Sherrifs Department.
I say the odds are with Bullet - if he survived New Holland, a little old surgery will be nothing.
Keeping him in my prayers…
If it’s true that “What doesn’t kill you will make you stronger” I must be training for the Olympics!
