Danny and Ron’s Rescue is one of the charities involved in the FTI Charity Challenge at WEF this month. Please take a moment to vote for them to get the top prize. They’ve placed more than 3,000 dogs in new homes in the last few years. They do a great job.

Yay, Danny and Ron’s Rescue won the contest by a wide margin!

Their top prize is a check for $25,000, which I know they will put to great use to help many, many dogs.

The two runner-up charities behind them in the voting will each get a check for $12,500. I believe one of those charities involved a group that does therapeutic riding.

That is so fantastic! According to what they posted on their Facebook page, though, they actually won a total of $35K! $25K as fan favorite and $10,000 for competing (whatever “competing” means).

They sure deserved it!

Yes, the whole thing was part of a charity event at the horse show in Wellington, Florida. There was a jumper class tonight with 34 teams, each comprised of three riders, representing different charities. So the team riding to benefit Danny and Ron’s Rescue won at least $10,000 of the prize money in the jumper class. Plus the $25,000 for the contest that we voted for online.
