Polos and Sweaters for Clinics

DC/Nova peep here. I’m trying to remember what I wore when I rode in an outdoor clinic in Feb/March a couple years ago. Will try to find the video. You’d think I’d be able to remember; there was a lot of last minute back & forth over whether it would be in the indoor or out. So I remember bringing various permutations of outerwear with me, but not what I finally ended up with! Lol. My body doesn’t regulate against cold well due to an AI condition. I must’ve had a jacket of some kind on. Probably my black Noble winter riding tights, boots with toe warmers, and this black Mountain Horse riding jacket I lucked into cheap at the consignment store.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your wonderful advice! The clinic got pushed by one week due to rain, but it went ahead this past weekend, and was great.

Per all of the wise advice here, I layered up - Merino wool top under a Oiselle top that has a faux turtle neck, so it looks a bit smarter. Kerrit fleece-lined breeches (got a new pair in a lighter color for the occasion so the clinician could better judge my leg position (a necessity, as I explained to my husband)), my LL Bean vest and Skida neck gaiter. We had lots of sunshine, so I left the vest at the gate of the ring, but was otherwise very happy for my layers!

Clinic itself was great. I had only ridden my school horse once before, and he was a bit fresh and bouncy, but a lovely boy once we got going. Instructor was fabulous. And I was just so excited to do a clinic!

Again, thank you all for your advice!
