Ok, I just measured, waiting for my horse to take his entire head out! It’s 24 inches tall and 18 inches diameter. He had a flake of alfalfa and it covers the bottom but you could put at least 3 more flakes in there. Sturdy construction and nice straps with adjustments for hanging. Good luck!
Thanks for measuring it! Sadly we have large three string bales that weigh over 100# out here, and they are about 24" square so I wouldn’t be able to throw 2 flakes in there - maybe break one apart and stuff it in, but that defeats the purpose for this particular situation. Rats!
interesting about bale size! How strange that it differs so much. We call ours 3 string bales, they weigh between 80-100, but are rectangular with flakes about 18x24. We need a chart just to show around the country how hay differs! Good luck finding a solution.
