Potential Buyer Coming to Test Ride Horse -- Short Warm Up Unacceptable? TW: kinda gross wound description?

I prefer to see the horse ridden first before I get on but I had a back issue( couldn’t ride) and sold one no problem.

Guy got on and rode. It might have helped that I said I would try and get on if I could. I guess in my condition if I was willing to get on I wasn’t lying about the horse.

He bought him.

Please don’t ride with a wound that is requiring a skin graft to heal.

Let them know that you can’t warm him up for them and ask if they would like to reschedule.

Hey friends. Appreciate all of the advice!

I went ahead and messaged her and told her the situation. Like I said in one of my replies above, I had already given her the heads up that I was confirming with a rider to come out for me due to an injury. I didn’t want to throw any surprises their way, or cause any thoughts/doubts of “why wouldn’t she be riding herself?”

We came up with a plan so we’re good now and have it sorted. Normally I wouldn’t hesitate to reschedule, but this potential buyer seems like a really good fit for my guy and he’d remain in the same area, so I’m trying to be extra extra “on top of it” which is why I posted here.

Now I just need all of the jingles and thoughts for my guy putting his best foot forward Friday :crossed_fingers:t3:

You won’t be riding then? Good to hear it.

Good luck! I hope it works out.

Final update and then I’ll let this thread die.

Today went so well. So proud of my guy - he never ceases to amaze me how he continually rises to the occasion every. Single. Time. He’s once in a lifetime for sure.
