Pending the outcome of our looking at a possible contender tomorrow, we need the name of a good, sporthorse-knowledgable vet for PPE. Prefer a reputable field service-type who can make farm call as opposed to clinic.
Come Again? Any other Indiana folks? I see that Purdue Large Animal Hosp. has equine community practice (farm call service). Thoughts?
Dr. Amanda Farr works with the Purdue Equine Community Practice and also rides. She does all of my farms vet work and is a fabulous vet/person! She would be a great option if she is available (she’s typically very busy!) The other vets that work with the community practice I don’t have as much experience with.
If you are willing to trailer the horse to the Purdue vet school Dr. Steve Adams is a fantastic lameness vet and would be my first choice.
I think up in Lafayette Purdue (including Amanda Farr) is your best bet.
