Bahahahahahahhaaa! Apparently if you flex the horse whilst bareback, you’ll “feel a little bump in your seat.” Well, yes, if one rides the horse in a humping manner a la The Humping Non-Piaffe vid, I’m sure a guy would feel a little bump in his “seat.”

Never heard it called “flexating” before, but this is exactly what the cowboys I grew up with did with their two year olds. Didn’t realize at the time that they were experts in klassical dressage! Oh what I could have learned.

ETA: Y’all, I’m only on page 22 of the original thread, but it is simply enthralling. KD has left and things seems to be settling down put there are still 640 more posts to read. What’s going to happen next? Will more houseguests arrive? I have to know.

It won’t go away…

There is plenty of time. The thread is actually the 2nd most viewed on the dressage forum.

It does take fortitude (guts, if you will) to slog through the entire debacle. Worth it though.

I had to stop to do a breathing treatment, I laughed so hard. I’ve also started taking notes. When I’m done with it, I will post the index (as someone suggested). Surely, this is one for COTH lore- a post that our children and our children’s children will be referencing for years.

There once was a COTH Dressage Forum

Where the “Mods” thought we’d lost all decorum

We were not allowed to sing it out loud

Only whisper ,in a COTH quorum.

Alas, Acme, I am FB-impaired

How about I plaster my local feed & tack stores with flyers and then cold call all the local barns singing your praises?
Of course you will have to provide the pertinent verbage.

Do you have any photos or should I just pillage the interwebz?

He was going on about riding a horse in draw reins and side reins together on FB too…that was special.

I love the cat dressage. Oh how I wish old Spencer (20) and Chloe (17) and overweight Tobey (10) could do that!

As for the metallic sound in the indoor, I watched the video over and over after the owner of the horse houseguested on one of the old threads and said the horse had on a certain type of boot and that the sound was the sand hitting the side of the building. Uh, part of the circle being ridden was far far away from the metal wall, and therefore no sand was hitting the wall from that distance. The sound was the same when the horse was near enough to the wall to have sand actually hit it, but was also the very same sound when the horse was far away from the wall so that sand could not have been hitting it from that distance. Listen to the sound and watch the distances from the different walls. That horse is not crowding the wall in the full circle. The cadence is the same no matter how far the horse was from the wall, or how near he was to the wall.
Someone please go to the next clinic. Or host one where we can have a Coth meet up to enjoy the show.[/QUOTE]

You can see the chains on the feet at the end of the video.

Draw reins AND side reins?!?!?!?!?!
Thought he was ‘classical’??? Can’t picture Nuno riding a horse in draw reins and side reins!!!

No, I mean clinic video. Didn’t he post some on his super-special support group page?

I’ve seen the flexation video. I was just wondering if there’s any picture of him riding in draw reins and side reins (on one side of the horse??)…
What would be his goal/reason for doing that??
