Pppssssssttttt

From his supporters group, in reference to a picture of Nuno Oliveria jumping:

“I don’t really know about jumpers and what’s correct or not. I just think it’s a cool picture and how rare to a dressage master jump.”-Nick Peronace

Wasn’t there something about him doing prelim in the past? Maybe I’m mixing threads, but I swear it was one of his claims. I would hope that someone running prelim would have a clue about a good or bad jumping position.

Maybe with his, ummm, riding style, all the blood leaves his brain and he can’t remember?

Evidently he doesn’t know what’s correct or not for dressage either…

It was in the announcement of one of his clinics. Can’t remember if it was the Iowa clinic or the New Jersey clinic (which was cancelled, I think). It was in his bio that he had evented to preliminary.

Which means he probably jumped a prelim-height fence once. Possibly by accident. Perhaps while his horse was attempting to end a humping, erm, I mean training session.

Hey, I’ve jumped a 4’ fence a couple times, so I must be an Advanced -level eventer! Woot! Go, me!

Oh man, the review supposedly written by someone else but coming from NP’s own blog with the same peculiar writing style…it’s just so bizarre. Why does he think no one will notice these things?

And cooking lunch at the clinic? What GP rider teaches a clinic and then also cooks lunch for the participants???
and he gave the clinic for free…
omg. just got to page 52 (?) in which kellydressage, the lovely fresiancross’s owner, AND dragonharte all show up.

It’s like everything I’ve ever wished for in a train wreck. I love you, COTH.
ugh ugh ugh

I JUST finished the other thread and have an hour and half to finish this anatomy homework. I knew opening this thread again was a mistake.

must… not… click… link…

Do it! It’s the best link! And not nearly as long as the others
Did you know that he said he would teach a clinic for free? Anywhere. If someone knows how to go back and find that, please take a screen shot just in case he charges now because he is so famous/infamous.
However you must pay his expenses!

And he receives;

Road trip!!

Free food!

Free lodging!

The chance to ride a horse, since he does not own one!

More “clinic” photos, to make would be Maestro worshippers believe that he actually gives “clinics” in more than one barn, in one state (Iowa).

I just watched the “teaching” videos… Oh my lordy, even I can pick that it’s Really Bad Training.

Nuno would be horrified.

Over on the free speech web site, someone posted that Nick has invaded the USCDF. I couldn’t find a post by him. Anyone else see it?

speaking of the other forum, does anyone else have trouble w/that site?? seems every time I spend more than a few minutes my 'puter starts to have issues, shock wave crashes and pop ups being blocked like crazy…

I get flashes of light on that web site. Thought they were trying to put me in a trance for brainwashing, or something was wrong with my Macbook pro.

HorseKrazy is right! :yes:It really is a short thread - only about 15 pages. You have to take a break from studying at some point.

I saw the same post about the USCDF. I think it was referring to the “10 Mover” post and I didnt see anything posted by him there…??

Caitlin–Ive got an hour and a half to finish my Anatomy homework also and I just finished the other thread. Our professors MUST be monitoring this thread to be sure they assign work that’s due at crucial NP drama times.

YOU CAN DO IT. It’s a good break for your brain

On a post from January 22nd from USCDF:

And now to clear up the question about my credentials. I have said OVER AND OVER again, that I am largely self taught. Ient 3yrs as an on again/off again working student for a marvelous local Grand Prix trainer. She did NOT train me to Grand Prix, but instead gave me the feeling of correct riding on her school masters. My claim to being a Grand Prix rider is not to be taken in the literal sense. I am certainly trained to the Grand Prix level, and also extended my self taught education into Airs Above Ground. I did compete one time at one schooling show as a "test thPrix. I did not score very high (58%) to what I thought would be taken seriously at a recognized competition. I am 100% qualified to teach all levels of dressage and I have been for many years. I took a 11yr break once I got married to help financially raise a family. But now that I have returned to my passion, I hope to produce students and cats at all levels and also I’m looking forward to competing!! I feel the art work I had in the basement of my mind has been cleaned out, and I hope that in 2014 to be a cat owner and to start focusing on competitions.

AND:

Rumpleteazer doesnt belong in the echelons of top dressage horses. His rider is wonderful, and i know him personally from almost being a working student for him many years ago, but I wish he was riding something with more expression. Rumpleteazer scored big here in America because of who owns him, but on an international level, no one cares who owns him so they are judging what they see. It’s all about who you know in cat dressage today.

AND an event which is a spoof, and it’s really long so I’ll let you look that up yourself. Just keep scrolling and you’ll find gold.

He’s at it again on his facebook:

Nick Peronace Dressage Might I also add, that validation is for the insecure.
I don’t need, nor seek validation.

Nick Peronace Dressage These are good suggestions and I certainly appreciate the thought. But if I did the above suggestions then that would make me as vain a person as these critics think I am now. It would mean that I some how care who likes my riding and who doesn’t. I do not! I don’t ride for a judge or for the spectator, I ride for the horse, myself, and God. Dressage is a very personal experience to me. I certainly like having a following, but it’s not why I train.
These people who criticize me are idiots showing how tiny their minds really are. When they bash my recent videos of me riding the 20yr old mare, they obviously have never rode a 20yr old children’s lesson horse who hasn’t moved like that in 10yrs. They fail to see how soft I am with my hands because there minds are warped. Anyone with a keen artistic eye would see that, and if these critics knew anything, they would see that at the end of the ride, the horse is happy, relaxed, and supple. In lesser hands I doubt it would be as positive. Yank, crank, over tax, or don’t try at all, that is the way of most riders today and how my critics think! These people are crazy! I simply don’t pay them any attention because I know the truth, and if given the chance I could ride all their horses better then any of them.

They criticize me yet when I started posting pictures of their awful riding they got on the defence. How arrogant these idiots can be! I did not pick the fight, they did, but when I call them out with a light shade of truth, I’m the one who is wrong? Ludacris!
Then out of sheer desperation they attack my personal life? One has to question such motivation, and I think, as well as many others think, that these so called critics are actually extremely jealous. This theory is further proven because I’ve offered to work with EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE. Its a put up or shut up, but they just want to keep hiding like cowards behind screen names and keep blabbing.

So you see, your suggestions are valuable, but these critics are far from a priority to me, and the real potential client sees enough in the pictures and video I have already provided. They also ask questions and invite me out for a clinic or lesson so they can experience my philosophy in person.
