Ok, my life is now complete!!
Was it everything you hoped it would be?

Goes off to rewatch before it gets poofed again

I just need to say – Poor Chevy. Poor, poor Chevy.

You know, I think maybe we should take up a collection to send him to a clinic/lesson with an actual dressage master. I’d totally pay to watch.

That might be a bit hard since most of his “trainers” are dead.

Watched a few seconds of the video. Does anybody have some eye bleach?

is anyone old enough to remember the toy “schooch” horses?? sorta like the horses on springs that we can get for our kids today, but this one you had to schooch to make it move?? that’s what it looks like he’s trying to do… LOL

^^ bad description, but if you’re in my age bracket, you might know what I’m trying to say

TOTALLY know what you’re saying. And I think that’s a very accurate description!

My favorite was the video clip where he is explaining that when a horse is properly “flexating” its neck it lifts its back and “you can actually hear the leather [of the saddle] stretching”.

Huh?
Hmm … I guess I’ve never properly flexated my horse.
I’ve never humped to third either - I guess there is a lot to be learned from The Maestro.

Yes, but the scary thing is that probably sounds plausible to a beginner or an inexperienced horse person. Especially because he presents it in such a matter of fact manner. I read the entire big thread. What happens when a student of his realizes they want more/a real trainer? That could get ugly fast…

OMG. Only one page 30 of the trainwreck (lots of catching up to do) but I just saw the video. Trying to stop crying at work from laughing so hard…

I know, right? I wish I could do a Men in Black memory erase just so I could watch it for the first time again!

Wasn’t that a Seinfeld episode?

It took a few days but I actually read the entire thread. To think I could have read Phillip Dutton’ new book I just got for Christmas and call myself an Olympic rider/trainer!!

When I saw that video it made me think about telling people to sit in a cornfield at night to listen to the corn grow.

I thought the lady’s response was a testament to the power of suggestion. She said she could actually hear the leather stretching.

I think I heard her swooning.

“Oh, Maestro! Yessss Maestro!”

BLECH!! :disgust:

We all enjoyed a good laugh at the barn yesterday while enjoying the one window of decent weather. I’m not in the saddle yet, but my BFF dressage trainer was on my horse and we were all like “sshhhhh…….listen…….it’s streeeettchiinnng” . No one else is a COTH addict there but I gave them the low-down, and a warning to hang up if he calls.

Ok, I missed the flexating video. Anyone have a link? And are there any others? I’ve seen the saddle-lovin’ piaffe-ness video and the Friesian cross with the chains/not-chains video, but that’s it. I would love some more entertainment!

Supposedly he (NP) is going to start his own youtube channel. That ought to be as entertaining and educational as Sarah Stetner.

And ANOTHER thread! http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?425953-Re-nick-peronace Yay!

Like a Furby in the middle of the night months after the batteries “died”…this guy just keeps coming back!
