Pppssssssttttt

Is Ralfaca related to Tortillas?
When i saw those dressage cats on one of the other threads, I thought it was great. Unfortunately, my 20 yr old cat and my 17 yr old cat and my ex-barn cat who is 10, aren’t into performing.

Please keep this thread open. The mixup on Romney’s horse’s sex and name is hilarious. And please, someone go to one of his clinics next time in PA or NJ and take video!!!
They shall be Dressage Cats Emeritus!!! Surely we can find a benevolent sponsor? When my maiden great aunts passed, they left quite an endowment to a cat hospital…so we need someone like that. You know, crazy.

I’m now on Pinetrest! !

So intrigued.

OMG!!! I finally saw the video! Somebody managed to get a copy of the copy. NEVER watch something like that with severe chest congestion and cough. I was laughing and crying so hard, I thought I was going to need an ambulance. I’m still coughing 15 minutes later. That was both absolutely painful and hilarious to watch.
That monkey/football observation was dead on.

Laurie…your the best…

Ah! Dang, I was looking for PINEterest. No wonder I couldn’t find it!

This is hilarious. I “liked” it and invited a bunch of (deranged) friends to check it out.

One major criticism, though. Cats are warm-blooded. Do we really need one more group that perpetuates warmblood bias in dressage? I am so sick and tired of getting politically-motivated low scores at CDIs (cat dressage invitationals) just because my dressage star is an iguana.
I nominate leopard geckos as the off-breed of choice. Here we see a lovely specimen mid-half-pass. Or shoulder-in. Your choice.

Bonus: easily preyed upon by those nasty warmblood-cats. Bonus-bonus: KOLORS!!

I particularly like how the horse is bent in the direction of travel in the half pass here…http://www.pinterest.com/pin/558727897492644671/

Oh wait…

OK I have been trying so hard to stay out of this but these threads keep opening. Anyway I met him once. I hired him to judge a dressage show. This was awhile ago before checking up on people was so easy, maybe 10 or 15 years ago. I forget how I heard about him but I thought, great a grand prix rider so local. It was a schooling show and I was open to using trainers and such for judges. When he came I thought, Oh crap is he even 18?! But no major complaints that I remember and he brought his own scribe (an even younger-looking girl)so that was great. But wasn’t impressed so didn’t have him back and don’t remember exactly why. So that’s about it until recently when I started to see his ads on local fb pages and then WOW! on these boards. So I guess this is my new claim to fame…

I want to know who got kicked off his page, and what for. well, I know what for, probably for questioning his maestroness, but specifically what for.

 you mean the maestro doesn’t know the difference between a leg yield and a half pass? This guy is a source of ENDLESS fodder!

Looks like the “levade” pic was taken from the same video as the Humpty-Hump piaffe vid.

ACME, I’d love to book a clinic, as long as you specialize in off-breeds. Like capybaras. I have a whole barn full of 10-mover capybaras, but other dressage trainers turn their noses up @ them b/c they’re not warmbloods. But these guys could totally medal @ the Olympics!

I can still see the comments. I had no idea that NP knows Jan personally because he was almost a working student for him! Then again, I didn’t know Jan rode a gelding named Ralfaca. I’m learning so much about dressage these days. I’m certain this was about the time DT approached him to write an article, as NP clearly has a finger on the pulse of dressage…
The trainer I clinic with whenever possible went to Ca and trained with Ebeling for a while. She tries to get him to her stable to clinic when she can, next time I audit I should ask him if he knows NP.

My eyes, MY EYES!!! How sad that he thinks any of those photos would actually drum up business.

Even if JE knows him, he’ll say “no” because he’s jealous of NP. After all, JE had to go to The Olympics with a limited gelding like “Ralf”, while NP gets to have all the 10 movers in his own barn. I’ll bet NP hasn’t offered JE the ride on even one of them.

Oh wait…
I do, too! He’s like the great maestros of old who can train their horse to canter backwards. He can train new clients to halfpass while moving backwards! “Your” just jealous!

I am. I bought a stable full of cats, only it turns out they can’t dressage!
