Thanks for all the responses, they’ve been super helpful! I managed to visit a tack store that carries the Prestige line to sit a few of the different models and absolutely fell in love with the Meredith (although the others were quite nice as well) and the 17" seemed to fit me very well. Unfortunately a new one is out of the budget but fingers crossed I can find one used!
I got my Prestige versailles at Bakers a number of years ago. It was one of the few wide tree saddles I could find in the GTA that actually fit my mare! It was much more than I wanted to spend, but omg I love it so much! My position and security in the tack improved overnight, and the leather quality is great. Despite it being wide, I’ve been able to use it with appropriate padding on a number of other horses, including TBs. I believe mine is a 17", unless you’re particularly long in the thigh or like a lot of room, I’d say that’s probably fine (but if you get a chance to sit in both, that would be ideal).
I’ve seen a few Merediths pop up in the last few months on Facebook (in Ontario groups), so keep your eyes open! Also remember you can have the tree adjusted somewhat, so if you need say a med-wide but find a medium tree for sale, it may work. The Prestige dealers should be able to do this for you (Bahr Saddlery for sure can adjust Prestige trees).
