Probiotics, Do they work?

Another one for SmartDigest Ultra here (ulcer prone horse)

not to hijack but how do you guys get your horse to eat the smart digest ultra? mine wonā€™t eat it, even mixed with sweet feed or brown sugar :frowning:

Hmm. Mine LOVES it, he licks any remaining out of his bucket. You could try a bit of oil to mix it up with the feed so it sticks?

RationPlus hereā€¦ Itā€™s kind of a pain because itā€™s a liquid but has worked for my gelding better than any other pro/prebiotic supplement.

I know this is a really old thread but have you heard of HealthyGut Maintenance Probiotics for Horses? From the website, it has ā€œ25 Different Species of Probiotics PLUS 4 grams of Prebiotic Inulin per Serving and 23 Billion Viable Colony Forming Units per Servingā€ as well as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pediococcus acidilactici and Saccharomyces boulardii. Iā€™ve been feeding SmartDigest Ultra but have been doing a lot of research to make sure Iā€™m not wasting my money and came across this product after reading what you and Lilypad said.
