Probiotics, Do they work?

Another one for SmartDigest Ultra here (ulcer prone horse)

not to hijack but how do you guys get your horse to eat the smart digest ultra? mine won’t eat it, even mixed with sweet feed or brown sugar :frowning:

Hmm. Mine LOVES it, he licks any remaining out of his bucket. You could try a bit of oil to mix it up with the feed so it sticks?

RationPlus here… It’s kind of a pain because it’s a liquid but has worked for my gelding better than any other pro/prebiotic supplement.

I know this is a really old thread but have you heard of HealthyGut Maintenance Probiotics for Horses? From the website, it has ā€œ25 Different Species of Probiotics PLUS 4 grams of Prebiotic Inulin per Serving and 23 Billion Viable Colony Forming Units per Servingā€ as well as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Pediococcus acidilactici and Saccharomyces boulardii. I’ve been feeding SmartDigest Ultra but have been doing a lot of research to make sure I’m not wasting my money and came across this product after reading what you and Lilypad said.
