PSA: Farm Tours in Lexington, KY

Thanks for sharing! I knew American Pharoah had a calmer temperament compared to some other stallions, but I didn’t know he was that calm/easy! They didn’t mention that when I visited (though our tour was led by a college intern, not an actual stallion handler, so she might not have known as much, but she was great!). Funny story, a lady wanted a picture with Pharoah, she asked if he bit, the tour guide said no, then when she (lady) went to get her picture taken with him - he reached out and bit her. It wasn’t a nasty or mean bite, just like a little, “ha!”. Poor lady screamed and backed away, Pharoah stood there innocently after, they most definitely know!

I am a little surprised they let anyone get close enough to him to get bitten. When I visited Coolmore in the spring, they seemed to have a system in place with a fence between the horses and the humans, and they kept the horses a few feet back from the fence the whole time.
