Unless there’s an allergy/sensitivity issue, I would worry much less about old feed ingredients, and look at what the horse needs as a general category. Pelleted or textured? Low NSC or “regular”? Higher protein or higher fat, or “normal”?

Even if you know the ingredients, you have no idea how much of each is in there, so they aren’t really compare-able that way.

I think both those tags seem pretty close to the same thing, and it’s most likely a regional labeling difference. One label is vague, the other is specific.

Either way, you’re only going to buy grain locally so there isn’t going to be a difference between bags.
