It sounds like you are not completely settled on the Thoroughbred. Have you looked into options of a warmblood with heavy thoroughbred lines. Londonderry is one of my favorite dressage Hanoverians period, and he is out of Laurie’s Crusador xx, so by breeding to him (AI), you would get half thoroughbred blood, and still be able to capitalize on the Hanoverian marketability and dressage talent. I don’t know how much his lines get used for jumpers, but the one Londonderry dressage horse I rode was also a quite talented jumper for his amateur rider. I would think breeding him back to a TB could be promising for eventing. I will also add that I have a Rubinero (Rubinstein I) Hanoverian son, and would also recommend his lines for containing thoroughbred lines, and producing excellent temperaments if you decide to go the AHS route, but leaning toward the TB blood.
I had a wonderful TB stallion but I struggled with his back problems for quite a while and had him PTS exactly a week ago. He was the most gorgeous animal anyone could wish to own and I am completely devastated that he is gone. But I could not be certain he could be pain free. Without his problems he would have made such an incredible jumper. He had so much talent. And an unbelievable character and temperament, so loyal, sweet and honest.
This was my boy at six years old.

Condolences on your loss. I know how proud you were of him and how much you loved him.
Lots of hugs, and condolences. Godspeed Spirit Lake. xxxxxxx
Oh Elles, I’m so sorry.
Thank you Mara and Beowulf.
And thank you Skydy.
I realize this thread is a few months old, but as a fellow TB enthusiast with a sport-bred TB, I will say I really like Mystic Replica. I have ridden a few (never owned any) and IME they can be tricky- they like a tactful ride- but are bold and talented. The owner’s phone number can be found on her website, which is probably the best way to get in touch if he is still standing. I think there is something to be said for picking a stallion proven for sport.
What a lovely horse with so many talents, and so nice to see how he is kept with his mares.
