Question on dog toe nails

She is about 55 lbs. (Don’t judge her poor toes too harshly, I’m trying to fix it)

I have these by Oster. I bought them new and the cutting edges are quite sharp.

Wanted to share a quick update and express my gratitude to the COTH hive.

Lily’s toenails still “click” on the linoleum when she walks. But when standing still in the kitchen, her front toenails no longer touch the ground. I think this is progress! I’ll keep working on them and the hinds. I am now working on getting the correct angle as discussed above!

Better yet, she is really good to trim 3 or 4 toes at once. I try to be very matter of fact and do a few before offering treats and praise. Very pleased with how she has responded! I’m just one person when I do this, so this is big.

GREAT news!! Keep up the good work and yes, be matter of fact, unemotional. This is just another part of good husbandry for your dog :grinning:
