Questions from a rusty horseshow mom

Love the Nero IIs, wish they would make them in 100 colors

ghodho fits nice on narrower (more teenage like) bodies (or at least they def ran small in 2016! I do think they’ve become more size inclusive over the years). In my 20s I was super slim (5’9 size 26 or smaller) and LOVED the way these fit and would trade pairs with juniors at my old barn all the time. The 2016 pairs wore like iron and were really good quality.

unfortunately the awesome sale they’ve been having sold out of the sizes you need.

Honestly, go in person and try a bunch on. I really don’t love buying materials I can’t touch ahead of time. I order online a bunch and return 80%-100%.

Yep, we are 3.5 hours away from the Dover store in Franklin, and we do make special trips there when required (so, for example, when we were shopping for her tall boots). But I’m hoping to not have to drive almost eight hours round trip to find the show breeches she needs.

Totally understand!

I like SmartPak’s in-house brands, but SmartPak has changed hands and I admittedly don’t have the most recent incarnations of these breeches.

I’ve always liked the Pipers:

The reviews are low-ish, but they are on sale, so you could send them back. The main complaint is that the fabric is too light, though, which might work to your favor!

I’ve actually never been a fan of super-light breeches and always go as dark as I can, though, because sometimes the leather marks the fabric (or just the dirt factor).

since this thread is still alive I believe I sound mention The Hitching Post in Middletown Kentucky. This tack store carries children’s clothing and tack. When our kids were young the store did carry quality used children’s apparel and tack their reasoning was a kid would outgrow the clothing rather than wear it out. They also new.

Even though we live in north Texas we found the store easy to work with (at least it was back in our day of using them). I knew of them from the days of their founding in Anchorage they since moved to their current location in Middletown.

as a note you need to call them to see if they have a specific Consignment Boots, Apparel, Tack and Equipment will NOT be listed on The Hitching Post Tack Shop website.

They only accept Good/High quality show and schooling apparel and boots, equipment, and tack for dressage, eventing, hunters and jumpers.
