We have about 20 tons of sand that I’ve been reserving for their stall base but maybe with what I have leftover I could use it for rolling pits! They would love that!
Did you put drains in when you did all this for your dry lots? The area I’m working on is a flat, poorly draining low spot in an otherwise sloped paddock. I’m thinking about digging a trench about one foot down and a few inches across to direct the water from this problematic spot and out of the paddock. Then filling it with fabric and gravel. I know there’s a whole science to drains but I’m wondering how deep I need to go down the rabbit hole with it?
