Nope, no rubs with non-fleece. The fleece bells he was wearing at the time were is normal size medium, but they seemed to fit around his pasterns a little tighter. He currently wears the Arma bell boots for turnout and riding with no problem.
I had a TB that was sensitive too. Couldnāt even put neoprene boots on his legs⦠somehow heād get rubs. We tried them looser, we tried them tighter⦠didnāt matter. He may have just had an allergy. Undecided. These were the days of leather girths, so wasnāt like we gave it a whirl with a synthetic girth.
BUT, I will say that if the Arma bells ever become a problem, I would buy the super gummy pull-ons. Never had an issue. Usually buy them one size bigger so they were a bit looser, but worked great. He lived in them for awhile since he was a habitual shoe-puller when he didnāt want to go outside.
Could it be because the fleece on bell boots collects dirt and sand?
