Request: Video of H/J trainer "jumping" on the sidelines

I cannot for the life of me remember what the title of the thread was called, but WHERE can I find this video? It is of the male trainer/coach “jumping” over the fences while his student is own course.

Can someone point me to that video?

This one?

I don’t know that it’s jumping so much as… dancing.

oh my. could that be considered coaching from the sidelines?

Elaine’s Dance Move from Seinfeld

I kind of understand most of his movements, except the weird kick one leg up behind him. What is he simulating there?

Kick on?

I had forgotten about this video. Thanks for the chuckle this evening. He has to be one of the greatest dads ever.

Stimulants perhaps?

I could almost handle this except for the groom in the background who was really doing his best to not roll on the ground

Cheers for the enthusiasm!

There was a thread on the dressage forum alleging something along the lines of if you are in balance you don’t expend any energy or something to that effect. I thought of this video when I read that because although I don’t go anywhere near this extreme, I can’t even watch someone ride without expending any energy let alone while actually riding.

I don’t even have to watch the video to know which one it must be. I remember the past threads on this said he wasn’t just the father to the rider, but also a trainer and kind of known for this “enthusiasm” in his area. Gotta’ love someone that is willing to express himself so openly and know that his heart is really in it!

I have trouble standing still when watching others ride–I “step” off the strides as they approach the fence. I can sympathize! He’s definitely uninhibited and supportive. Love it…though it is funny.

It’s John De Layer, son of Harry De Layer of “Snowman” fame! http://sidelinesnews.com/weekly-featured/harry-de-leyer-and-snowman-a-cinderella-story-becomes-a-film.html

I wish I could “jump” as well.

I’m a back seat rider and driver. I jump with the horse and yell “BRAKE D@MNIT!!!” to my husband when he drives

Thank you! When I saw the last name, I wondered if it was the same family - you saved me the research!

I am a clucker and kisser from the sidelines…I enjoyed watching hunter hack prelims at this years AQHA Youth World show. The well schooled audience had a hard time containing themselves on those kids who didn’t quite have the right pace. Probably helped quite a few but I am sure there were folks who were peeved. You will have that at horse shows

“De Leyer” is the spelling- good catch, I was thinking the name was familiar!

This cracks me up every time. I wonder what the jazz hands were for towards the beginning

That is hilarious!!
