Richard Watson is doing a clinic in my area in February, and I was contemplating going. Can anyone tell me what he is like? I don’t ride BIG time jumpers or anything. I usually ride 2’6" to 3’ jumpers in local shows. Would I benefit?
TIA.

Yes. Richard Watson is a really fantastic horseman and teacher. I have cliniced with him several times, both at clinics and at his farm. He used to come to my area several times a year, but now the person who hosted him doesn’t want the liability of hosting clinics, so I have to trailer down to him and it is still totally worth it.
No matter what level I have ridden at, whether it was jumping 3 ft courses or getting help starting my green bean, both on the flat and over low fences, I always come away with useful information and exercises. Coming originally from a western back ground, he brings a totally different sensibility to jumping than you will find from other instructors who come solely out of the hunter/jumper world.
Great to hear. Thanks for your input. :
