riderless horses and horseless riders?

Horseless Rider in Amherst, MA

I’m a college student in Amherst, MA. I have ridden extensively on the “AA” circuit and showed and qualified a greenie through to the Maclay Regionals in '07. Shown up to 1.20m jumpers, worked for my trainer as a junior riding 10+ a day. Also did Pony Club for a while, I have a C-2 rating. I’m looking for anything to ride, I like working with green horses. Let me know if you might have an option!

horseless rider in Catonsville, MD

I am long-term temporarily horseless due to lengthy suspensory treatment rehab for my lovely but currently unridable TB mare. I have ridden for 5+ years, am a cautious but not totally chickenshit adult novice+. I have evented to baby beginner novice, done a bit of dressage and trail riding, and am conscientious and responsible. Have references.

I am looking for some straightforward / low / no cost riding opportunities in the Baltimore suburbs. I prefer a fairly quiet horse, would prefer to try a horse in a ring before lighting out on trails (in company, not alone, ideally, although I have trail ridden alone on horses I know well). I can’t ride more than 1-2x a week because I still have to care for my horse through her suspensory care and hand walking and grazing.

I will groom the heck out of your horse and keep the tack clean. Please PM me if you know of any nice opportunities.

Horseless rider in north Boston area. 15 years of lessons with good, reputable people. Primarily H/J but not especially ambitious about fence height (read: three feet makes me pee my pants), some education in dressage, competent over little cross country obstacles. 5’5". Familiar with OTTBs, Morgans, Arabians, quirkiness etc. I’m new to the area and looking to get my fix. Ponies are pretty much my be-all and end-all. Willing to travel anywhere less than an hour from Somerville.

Anyone need someone to take over the expenses on a sensible, gentlemanly older type near Monterey, CA?

I’m doing Beginner Childrens in the NIHJA Circuit. Have been riding for 5 years. Financially limited.

horseless rider in Nashville, TN

Hi, I would like to find a horse to ride in the Nashville area. I was riding dressage but needed to cut back on expenses. I can also ride Western but have not had as much training in it. I was a beginning intermediate. I prefer quiet and/or calm horses and can not help you train a horse that has not been started. I can walk, trot, and canter. My name is Andrea. Thanks!

Horseless Rider in Denver, CO

15 years experience, western, english, hunters, jumpers, dressage. 4 years as an assistant trainer in CA, lots of experience with young horses, training issues. Schooling and showing experience, 3’6" hunters, jumpers, 2nd level dressage.

I am looking for any riding, from simple exercise hacks to training rides, 1-3 days a week, max of 40 minutes outside of Denver Metro area, possibly more rides depending on distance.

I moved to CO from CA earlier this year, sold my horses in CA, and am now looking for anything to get a connection with horses here.

Thank you.

I live in Little Rock, AR…still need a rider?

Horseless Ride - Redmond, WA

Hi All,

I guess I’m not technically completely horseless, but my guy is is now retired and only wants to go on hacks in the woods so I’m looking for somebody who has a horse who still wants to do some real work!

I am a 28 y.o. working professional who doesn’t have quite enough time to devote to owning another horse, but wants 2-4 days a week on a horse that I can get back into riding shape on. I’ve been riding dressage for most of my life and would prefer to find a schoolmaster, but certainly won’t rule out a cool horse that’s more inexperienced.

If you’ve got a great dressage horse who need a rider email me! I would love to hear from you and I’d be happy to chat or send you more details about my past riding experience.

I am in Jasper (really Ball ground) GA.

I have a lot of Percherons that need work. Some are green, one needs backing abd a person willing to work with her an older brood mare that would love an experienced person to work with her and I have one mare that is LARGE but a steady eddy.

Anyone out there??? I seriously would like some committed volunteers to come ride and love on horses.

I have a ring and 20 acres to ride around on. Or if you wish to drive or learn to drive…come, learn, have fun.

Anyone???

Houston, TX (West-side) Horseless Rider

I just recently moved to Houston, TX and I am looking for a horse to ride! My background is hunter/jumper (12 years) and eventing (1 year). I’m 23 years old and have moved to TX for my new job, but have not yet filled my horsey-habit!

If you have a horse for lease (for a small fee or free), please let me know! I am looking for a horse (pref. 16hh or over due to my height) to ride 3-4x/wk depending on location. I live somewhat near Katy, TX and work near Pearland, TX.

Small, nothing-fancy farm with well-cared American Saddlbreds looking for someone interested in riding (maybe even low-cost showing) privileges in exchange for occasional light barn work. I could basically use a second pair of hands around the barn sometimes! We do hunt seat, alittle jumping, saddleseat, and even a little western - these are all-around versatile saddlebreds! I do teach some lessons, so willingness to work around small novice riders occasionally is important. I am willing to show someone the ropes if you want to learn something new (like saddleseat) or I am willing to let a seasoned rider just ride. Casual, friendly atmosphere with nice people and horses. Outdoor riding only (no indoor), but we do have nice trails also. We are located in north York, PA - about 1/2 hour south of Harrisburg and about 1 hour north of Baltimore. Only about 4 miles off of I-83.

WNC Horseless

I am missing my own horses(states away), because we all know nothing goes right unless they are in your life. Been screwed over by some people. Just looking for some one to ride. PM if you want to know more (young horse trainer/starter, professional, H/j).

Thanks!

Riderless Horse in TX 78942

Riderless horse in TX. Almost 15 hand (14.3+), true black, 8yo mare needs a regular rider. She accomodates alot of leg, but at 5’7", I feel too tall for her, torso-wise, and have no plans to ever show her, myself. I have other horses to ride, and am not making the time for this one. She is WAY TOO fancy to just sit in my pasture, although she DOES look good out there.

She’s had HJ training, and has cute form over fences, and has been ridden out on ranches, jumped over logs and ridden through creeks. That said, she is not for beginners, and requires a confident rider because she gets snorty and looky when ridden out. She still goes where you ask, but she needs a confident rider to help her feel safe in doing so. When ridden irregularly, she is rushy during the warm-up, often trying to break into the canter, but I almost never longe her first. Just get on and go, but be prepared for the rushy stuff at first. Then she settles down and goes to work. When ridden regularly, the rushy stuff seriously diminishes.

I’d love to find a smaller (5’ - 5’4") rider who needs a project to ride, school and hopefully show. She is fancier than most of the horses I’ve seen at local HJ chooling shows, and many of the horses at rated HJ shows. She’s not tall, but she is a lovely little package. She’d probably do well in dressage because her extended trot would rival a nice WB’s. With a little refresher, she should be able to go out and do REALLY well. With some cross country schooling, she might even make a nice eventer with a confident rider.

Anyway, she’s available for the right rider to play with.
