I get cortisone injections every 5 months into the joint at the base of my big toe. The last one hurt like crazy and I was off my feet for almost 4 days before I could bear to walk.
However, the pain of the shots is worth it because I get a few months of relief. Between the shots, the massager, and new medication, I can actually get around pretty pain free for the first time in years.

I have a bunion and have had good luck with deep tissue type massages of the foot and calf. I see a guy who does Thai type massage. It freaking hurts like crazy but that’s getting better.
My mom is a massage therapist and when I started with some bad foot pain she gave me this little blue ball called “acuball”. I rolled the bottom of my feet and my calves and after doing this daily for two weeks, plus using a product called cryoderm (similar to rub A535 but much better quality) the pain went away.
A lot of foot issues can stem from legs that are too tight.
