Yep. This is exactly what my “doesn’t suffer fools gladly” schoolmaster does. Its been a humbling, educational experience!
Loved this, enjoyed it immensely.
Nice video, loved the constant reminder “don’t abandon the front end”, something which I can be guilty of.
What a fun video to watch.
I once sat on my friend’s upper level event horse. I’ve always had bad posture and have developed lots of muscle memory in that area. No matter how upright I thought I was sitting, I couldn’t get that horse to take a step forward. If I was even a millimeter in front of the vertical, he was like “nope, you’re still wrong” I finally leaned back enough to get him at least walking. To me it felt like I was going to fall off his back side. The picture my friend took confirmed I was sitting straight upright. Muscle memory is a funny thing.
He’s banned, thankfully.
So much of this video made me laugh.
Student - “Rich, he’s grunting!”
Instructor -“He’s not going to do anything!”
What a cool horse. These videos are so fun to watch.
I love these videos. I was trying horses a few months ago and lord help me. I’d never had the budget to buy something nice and going and I wanted something that could teach me a bit. Well I was taught and I learned because some of the horses I rode had so many buttons that I never even thought I’d know.
I finally found one that fit with me, but there are days he is like oh you wanted a change right and I’m like well my leg was a bit back but no. It’s never his fault, but I’m learning to be much more quiet and direct with that I’m asking for. Also the power this horse has makes me question my sanity. He’s a Saint and I’m a bumbling idiot trying to figure out how to ride lol.
I dont think I’d be brave enough to put our videos on the internet as I was learning to ride him. I love these videos though.
