LOL, I had a green wp horse that so wanted to go nowhere that anytime anyone said anything while he was loping he’d stop. My first few lessons, my trainer said, “I don’t know how I’m going to help you if everytime I say something he stops.” I had to carry a dressage whip for two months. And one of my homework exercises was to sing while I rode him so he got used to the noise.
Don’t give up, I think you’ll be fine. Just stick with it - I do think there is a good and easy way to get a horse trained up, but as you can read from the posts, there’s more than one way. If you are consistent, clear and stick with it you will make progress. Just be patient.
