Roy Moore manhandling another horse

Politics aside, how can anyone trust the word of a man that rides like this? I can’t imagine him treating any living thing kindly. Pure roughness and entitlement to bend to his will. https://mobile.twitter.com/politico/status/940632226437492738/video/1

He’d like to get lessons, but most barns have too many 14 year old girls hanging around to feel comfortable having him as a customer.

AMEN & HALLELUJAH!

To play Devil’s Advocate (near literal in this case!):
His seat is not all that bad…
But those Hands!!! :disgust:
Hmmm… I bet a lot of former Alabaman teen girls think the same thing

 I thought the video cut off suspiciously as he was starting to lose his balance. It looked to me like he was about 3 seconds away from becoming a lawn dart.

I don’t know much about gaited horses (which this appears to me to be) but this looks a hot mess

Just glanced quickly at the thread topic.
After last night’s results, I thought it said, “Roy Moore panhandling.”

You are spot on — it WAS a hot mess and the horse was either a Spotted Tennessee Walker or a Spotted Saddle Horse — they are closely related to each other — Spotted Saddle Horses have their own registry ----- it’s all sticky horse politics ---- somehow there’s a pun in there, lollol

i watched that moh-ron’s hands on the reins when the horse started to spook at all the commotion ---- he did not do one thing right to help the horse ---- his egotistical self only made things worse with all that yanking and reins up to his ear lobes. I wanted to reach thru the TV and yank his arrogant arwse off the horse.

i was hoping he’d get dumped but he must not have or it would have hit the news, lollollol

I was chuckling as I watched a couple of media reports this morning. Even a few of those announcers noticed his poor riding skills and said things like “That poor horse’s mouth!” and that his wife rode much better.

I know nothing about the man, but in his defense the horse looks pretty spooked and while he does not have what I would call " quiet " hands, with that bit it can make it look like rougher handling than it really is .

I have seen a whole lot worse .

Candyappy- I agree that I have seen worse, but not in a video designed to create a good impression! One picture showed the bridle was completely too big for horse and bit was hanging way down in the mouth. Not sure I agree that his seat was not bad, certainly his stirrups were too long. I think Sassy showed a great deal of tolerance under the circumstances!

We now know what “and the horse you rode in on”…is all about…

Yes, but the horse was only spooked because he put her in a situation she couldn’t cope with for his own self-aggrandizement.
