I have 2 pairs of 26s, however, they seem to run small. And I am nearby in Ellicott City. Email me if you are interested.
I don’t have Dominion Saddlery’s # but I think the Internet site is http://saddlery.com
(no WWW)
TS= Tailored Sportsman, rust w/matching knee (not white/natural like the old fashioned ones). Mine were all side-zips.
Shelli
HN, glad to hear you do not school in white . . .

I think that the size choices are narrowing down quickly.
LMAO, I’m gonna die laughing if I go home this weekend and my friend tells me that random people were calling the store asking for rust breeches!

My breeches just came in! I hate them! One pair is Brittany (???) and the other is TS, but both are front zip and neither seems to be of very high quality. I’m sending them back.

I made sure when I was on the phone with them to make sure they were side zip TS. The tried to send me a men’s pair, and I was like…NNOOOO thank you.
Well, if we are going out on limb here…does this mean I don’t have to replace my brown jacket with the velvet collar? (does anyone remember those?) I did prefer to wear it with classic white shirt and buff breeches though…lol
Hunt and show jackets in England have velvet-trimmed collars. If you don’t believe it, check out http://www.rideaway.co.uk and click on ‘Riding Wear’, then check out the show jackets and hacking jackets. The Village Gossip model (by no other than British rider Lucinda Green) has a velvet collar.
Oh my gosh! And there’s a Dominion near me in L.A.! Putting them on speed dial… grabbing credit card…
RUST? White? Taupe? Oh dear me…whats next GRAY? I cant take this, I was so glad when khaki or greenish beige became the style…I hope i never have to show in anything else…im going to lose sleep over this you know!!
Ha! I have two pair on their way. The poor little girl I spoke to hadn’t figured out why people were calling from CA and AZ for these breeches. Told her they were getting some awfully cheap advertising.
Too bad though, I tried to get my Herm Sprenger D ring bit, but they don’t have it. Will have to use my AZ tack store after all.
Oooh…Last night we watched an “antique” video of me showing in RUST breeches. They looked gooood. Dark brown jacket, rust breeches on a black horse…yeah! The consensus was (and this was a tough crowd) that I looked TALL (I’m a ‘healthy’ 5’3" on a good day lol).
I want to auction them off on ebay, do you think I’ll get anything for them?
Ah, to heck with the velvet collars. They probably won’t come back in style for another two years. Everything old gets new again, remember? I say, replace the velvet collars with faux fur that coordinates with your huntcoat: leopard print with brown coats, zebra with charcoal and dove gray, a snazzy silver fox with navy, etc. Then our chokers could be three short strands of pearls. So tres chic!
The Brits have never been accused of being highly fashionable, have they?
LOL, I love Dominion’s. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that a friend of mine works at one and lets me know what the good deals are!

LOL… No, whites not a good color on me.
And what do you mean to SCHOOL. I have no fear, I am ready to bring them back in style!!!
Different is better! At the last horse show I was at I wore a BRIGHT orange shirt. I figured I’d be “eye catching”. AAhhhh ha ha ha ha!
Hey, I’m sort of a local fashion plate out here. If I show up in rust breeches, I might actually get something started locally. Anyone else in? Come on, who else will appear at a show in rust in 2001? It doesn’t even have to be a rated show, or equitation. Anyone? Anyone? Or is it just going to be another one of those wacky west coast things?

I just called – all they have are size 24 & 26 left. Hurry!!
I almost cracked up when I asked her, “I understand you have some rust-colored TS breeches on sale?”

WHAT!!! They lied to me! They told me they didn’t have any 26 left!
I just got the 24 I ordered yesterday. They are a little on the red side, but no matter. If what Bertie says is true, and they make you look taller, my 5’ nuthin’ frame can use all the help I can give it.

who knows there might be other people who are trying to start the rust breech fashion craze in their neighborhood
