Saddle selling frustration

I have been kind of turned off by eBay though I do have it listed on there as a BIN. Some of their policies just plain stink. Like a buyer being able to return a saddle after they have had it for a month and a half claiming that the tree is broken.

PPs are correct. The color is a turn off for most anyone looking for a show saddle. And people not looking for a show saddle don’t generally want a silver package. I had a Billy Cook that was aesthetically almost identical to yours. I marketed it as a work saddle because of the color. I asked $400 and sold it within six hours.

I dropped the price $100 and already have quite a bit of interest. Hopefully it will be sold soon.

You could also consider dyeing it/having it dyed black or very dark brown which is a sorta-upcoming trend that might make it of more interest.

Google about this and see if it would make sense. Not real hard to do, and any darker saddle makes the silver look a lot better due to high contrast.

Might make your nice saddle more desirable… but agree with other posters that your asking price is probably a bit steep in today’s market.
