On the flip side, I sold a horse once who bucked the girl off twice. She was competent and he was an a$$hat. And she still bought him and still owns him about 10 years later. He was such a shit, but he eventually got on really well with her sister and the family adores him. Go figure.
I didn’t - mine was super cheap, and I’d already known him for a few months and knew he was plenty sound for what I and future buyers might want. He is also not going to sell in a price range (mid fours) where buyers will want to do a full-scale vetting. I would vet one if I was aiming to sell it in the $10k+ range.
Can confirm, I’m 5’1 and my project is a small pony. There’s lots of nice ponies that fall through the cracks because there isn’t anyone small enough to ride them. You will probably need a kid for the videos, though - something to keep in mind.
