Royal Heaven Farm in Escondido is great. I have been riding with Jess for a few years now. We do AA circuit to county level shows, and have lots of great Hunter and Jumper horses available for lease as well!
Can anyone tell me who are the trainers who train out of the Del Mar Showpark? I can’t find a complete list. Thank you SO much!
eq3019 - the trainers at Showpark all basically run their own businesses out of there so I don’t know that there is a complete list anywhere. I can tell you the ones I know off the top of my head.

There are also a couple of trainers that really just do kids and a couple of dressage trainers. You can PM me if you have any questions about the trainers or the facility as my D kept her horse there for several years before leaving for college last month.
Everardo Hegewisch is also at Showpark - he’s amazing. I used to ride with Jean McGinnis (Talisman Farms) back in my competitive days, and she’s also a great trainer.
ETA - Lisa Halterman at Haven Farms is also a very reputable trainer

I’m looking for a barn either for lessons and/or to lease to start.
My challenge: I work in IB, which seems to be the wrong direction for riding, but live in central SD. I’m willing to commute, ideally 45 minutes or less from IB, but I don’t mind commuting farther if need be. Do you have any recommendations for trainers that offer lessons and/or leases (aka for someone without their own horse right now) for a working adult?
Closest HJ barn to IB for a solid program would probably be Sweetwater Farms in Bonita. They offer lessons and leases.
Also consider Ridgemar Equestrian in Del Mar. They teach beginners up through hunters and jumpers. Family atmosphere, and all the trainers get a long well.

I rode with Diana Yeater at Ridgemar and had an EXCELLENT experience there.
I had a TERRIBLE experience at Sweetwater. They were very dishonest to me, with my horse, and IMO, are in their showing as well (same horse shows in the baby greens 3 years in a row under 3 different names after coming to them a 3’ jumper…) with the trainer on board, not a student.

In terms of showing I have done local to AA and everything in between. If the county shows are good, I would be up for that. I generally only do about 3-4 AA/A shows a year and don’t HAVE to have a barn that does that (although it isn’t a bad thing if they do)
