Santa Rosa Area Boarding Barns w/ Trainers

Hey all! My husband and I are starting to think about about relocating back to NorCal, but my largest reservation (aside from hoping we’re all still standing after this COVID crisis is over) is finding a situation similar to the amazing one I’ve found here in CO.

I would like a safe boarding barn with turn-out that also has a H/J trainer onsite, but you don’t have to be in a full service program.

So far, I’ve found boarding barns but unsure of the trainers, or I’ve found A/AA trainers who require you to be in a full service program, which I have no interest (or cash) to participate in.

I’m currently at a really nice place with great care and a good trainer onsite who does 1 training ride and 1-2 lessons with me a week.

I do the lower level jumpers and may go show at the Sonoma Horse Park once in a while, but not interested in showing every weekend.

Feel free to just PM me, no need to start a thread unless we want to update from the last one (I think in 2016).

Looking to do no further south than Novato (if that) and can be north of Santa Rosa. That’s the place we’re mainly looking, but also might end up in Napa or Sonoma.

Thanks!

Hi there- my farm, Jaz Creek, may be a good fit for you. We offer full service or partial service boarding with all day turnout and Buddy Brown is onsite to offer lessons. Check out our website, www.jazcreek.com.

If you want to do jumpers and not hunters, and especially if you don’t want to be in a full service program, you may find that barns that cater more to eventers would be a good fit for you. Also IMHO the Santa Rosa area is one of the nicest places anywhere to board and compete.

You might check out https://srequestrian.com/ and see if any of the people there suit you.
