@Risuena the one I bought this spring was also alarmingly cheap, but I really had absolutely no need for it, and it turned out to fit ok, with money left in the budget for tailoring.
Hope you get lucky as well!
Those deals end up being the best! My favorite blue coat is one I bought on Smartpak clearance for $35  thinking it would be a spare to keep in the trailer in case of bad weather etc. Nope, ended up loving the coat and the fit (more than the $$ navy coat I already had), and have worn it at multiple A hunter shows as well as recognized dressage shows! Hope you get just as lucky with your purchase
I meant an actual schooling show. Iām used to the warm-up/ boots off approach in recognized dressage shows, but havenāt done a schooling show in years.
(Where boots are fine, apparently).
Not sure about your area, but at the schooling dressage shows (or CTs/mini-trials) in my area all do not permit boots or wraps of any kind when riding the test. Iāve known riders get eliminated at schooling shows for forgetting to remove their horseās bell boots. Maybe check with show management first?
that depends on your particular show, some allow some follow USEF rules on these. Contact the show management
Interesting! We already did our show and the rules were very casual at the location I was at. itās easy to know the rules for recognized shows, but schooling shows just call their own shots I take it. Good to know for future - that seems really harsh to eliminate a poor schooling show rider for bell boots without warning them in the warm-up first or something! Geez. To be such sticklers, you might as well go to a recognized show.
