Hello, SecretElf!! You’re so smart - I hadn’t even thought of facebook stalking. Now I know what I’m going to go do…
My photos on facebook may have some privacy settings on them - You’re welcome to friend request me.
I know there’s a few of Winnie, the corgi somewhere in there though. Just picture a twinkie with stumpy legs. That’s her. LOL!
No food allergies or anything like that here and I’m really not picky about too much. I’m all about chocolate, although I’m not terribly fond of the filled kind (with an exception for caramel). I’m not good at cooking or baking myself, so I’m happy to partake of whatever anyone else comes up with.
It’s definitely gotten cold here the last week or two - I just spent several days down in Texas at a horse show where it was in the 80’s and now I’m back home and the “Polar Vortex” is on it’s way. Ick. You can never have enough pairs of gloves or warm socks, or even something to cover the ears (dumping the spreader out in an open field in the middle of winter when the wind is blowing SUCKS!).
Besides Friday night bingo and the hockey games, I do spend a lot of time with my brother and his wife’s family and we have family game night (and drink - can never go wrong with some good booze). And you can never have too much stuff for the barn for storage (bags, totes, organizational supplies, etc.).
Does that help?[/QUOTE]
Butting in to say - it is marketed as a kids game kind of, but Ticket to Ride is good fun even for adults for a board game night. The European one is more complicated than the one set in the Americas (I think? I know it has the US.) But either version is good - we sometimes simplify the European rules for younger kids or a shorter game. But everyone has enjoyed it and it is good conversation too because it generally inspires people to talk about where they’ve been or where they want to go, etc.
