I think asking questions about other peoples experience with a dealer is all part of the buyer beware thing. A person is doing their research.

You can not think it is bad to ask and insist on buyer beware.

A friend bought a pony from Diane who had a major issue that was not disclosed. That being said, I agree with others who say “buyer beware” when buying from these types of dealers. I have had horses majorly misrepresented and known issues not disclosed from several dealers in our area that market draft crosses.

I would be interested in which particular dealers you experienced this with (PM of course, if you’re comfortable sharing). I spend almost a year looking for a draft cross and interacted with most of the big dealers in the area. I ended up buying from more of a private seller. To be honest I’m just curious about some of the horses I tried now…
