Senior cat with lymphoma

This is what I bought for her. She eats it readily. I am not sure if I would buy this brand again because it is made in China.

Turkey Tail and Curcumin

Phoebe is doing well, knock on wood. She is a picky eater but looks to eat throughout the day. And is not losing weight but has gained some back. She is purring most of the night sleeping with me.

I am so sorry!

Did you have a biopsy done to diagnose lymphoma? She is a small cat, barely six pounds and I hear the needle aspirate biopsy can be hard and/or inconclusive to do on smaller cats. My girl was diagnosed by ultrasound. Very large spleen and thickening in intestines.

I feel like at 18 I do not want to be dragging her around for a bunch of vet appts. Her bloodwork isn’t perfect, so I am not sure they would even offer further treatment. She is on a very low dose of pred, 1.25 mg once a day. My vet offered to refer me to an oncologist, I declined. She did not offer Chlorambucil.

We did the ultrasound. When he intially got sick the vets really pushed to do an exploratory surgery. I think it would have killed him as he had stopped eating. Once we got the medication on board, he lived well for another year. The vets didn’t know what was wrong with him which is why they pushed for the exploratory. I didn’t know that I was comfortable putting him through that.
