Shamless Smartpak Rave

I LOVE Smartpak! I buy everything from them.

Also, last spring I posted a thread on here about a very neglected dog that belonged to someone I knew. I ended up taking in the dog and my whole process of rescuing him was posted on my thread. Smartpak messaged me on here, asking to email them with my address because they wanted to send me a little something to contribute to my rescue dog. I did, and a few days later I received a WONDERFUL bag of doggie ear wipes, a vitamin supplement for my dog, healthy treats, an herbal wound/fungal spray, and I think a couple other things. I also received a wonderful handwritten card by a manager and her fellow employees thanking me for taking in the dog. They are absolutely wonderful people! My rescue dog is healthy and happy and this reminds me I need to send them a picture of him. :slight_smile:

Agreed - I would be happy with only being able to order things like tack and the like, but none of the feedback I’ve gotten from them tells me they’re serious about considering it. It’s a shame.

LOVE Smartpak! They have been wonderful about replacing things (blankets, fly masks, etc) that break or don’t live up to standards, no questions asked! I even called them ONE YEAR after having a bridle from them, because I noticed the leather had stretched way out and one of the keepers was cracking. I just wanted to know if it was something I had done, as I was planning to purchase another from them and didn’t want to make the same mistake. THEY REPLACED IT FOR FREE. One year later. They TRULY stand behind their products, and that’s why I never buy from anywhere else if I can help it. Don’t ever change Smartpak!

My love of SmartPaks is actually kind of a barn joke at this point. My trainer teases me about my love of tinkering with my horses’s SmartPak… I’m actually a little sad that my new mare is so incredibly sound and healthy that only basic maintenance items are needed. Every time I changed my old guy’s paks, for changing seasons or changing supplement needs, SP was incredibly helpful and easy to work with.

I also love the free shipping/barn buddies shipping. I can buy stuff and send it directly to the barn so my husband doesn’t have to roll his eyes at yet another SmartPak box on the front porch. :lol:

Here’s another “love” about them: I recently sold a horse and the new owner was asking about his sizes (bridle, bit, boots, girth, etc.) Well I don’t remember the specs of everything I ever bought for him! SmartPak to the rescue - I was able to look up my order history for over a year and tell them exactly what items, sizes, etc he had been wearing. SO easy!

And is it just me or is the new blanket catalog really cool? I’ve been putting blankets on horses for a long time and I still love the tips and descriptions in that issue. I love the “best value” and “most durable” distinctions they gave - saves time comparison shopping. The close-up pics of different materials and write-ups are nice too.

Yes! I sent them an email last week commending them on their blanket guide. So useful! I had just been googling that same information the week before and came up with nothing. SmartPak put it all together right there. Love them!

I have never had anything but 5 star service from SmartPak. Just one example – I needed a replacement keeper for a flash nose band (very long story about how it got lost at a show), and even though they don’t carry that replacement piece for my bridle, they looked around and dug one out, and sent it to me. They refused to let me pay for it!

And the story above about the care package they sent for the resue dog just confirms for me that they are genuinely good people, who care about their customers, and their customers’ horses and dogs.

Love, love, love Smartpak! Last spring, I won a raffle drawing for a Welfleet halter from the Equine Journal. My horse flipped out on crossties and broke it. :frowning: I called Smartpak to see if they sold the headstalls so I could replace my broken one, but they didn’t. Too bad but no big deal, then the rep took down all my info so she could ship me a new one, FREE! For a halter that I won in the first place!

Just posted on facebook last night about how fantastic Smartpak is. Every time I call them, they are always so helpful and polite. No questions about returns, great options like barn shipping and always helpful if you call them with a question. I happily order from them every time I’m back in the US.

Lovelovelove Smartpak. Ordered a monogrammed saddle pad from them, arrived at my house so incredibly quickly, and looks amazing. The fact that they sell $20 monogrammed, pretty, and high quality saddle pads is somewhat mind blowing…
