You’re lucky that you live in an area where getting into the 90s is unusual. From mid may until mid september the weather will be somewhere between the lows 90s and 100 for me.
Just this morning I shaved down a corgi who looked fairly silly but was instantly more comfortable. I am booked for a couple more “puppy” clips in the near future.
In my area we don’t get -6 ever so it is worth taking the risk of wrecking the outer coat since the high of the day is above 50 probably 10 months out of the year.
