Update: mare was adamant about not loading.
The seller described it as a “meltdown”, and does not think that a repeat attempt will be successful.
He has offered to haul her here himself next month in a 4-horse that he knows she will load in.
I contacted Equine Express, and they were extremely nice about it.
I have to say that their communication through the whole process from my initial inquiry to the failure to launch has been exemplary.
I will not heistate to use them in the future.
