I rode off and on at Southern Cross before they went to Dressage. That was like 1995 ish. So a long time ago! My parents still live in Destin so we wander over that way now and then.

The gal who does the Hawaiian transport is Sheila Head, and her place is not far from me. You ship your horse to her farm, and she has a special shipping container built for horses that has box stalls. She transports them directly from her farm in to the Oakland shipyard and they go straight on the ship in their container. They have someone who is with them during the trip. Call Sheila and she will tell you how it all works. She has been in the business for many years.
There is some cool horse life in Hawaii. Sounds like an exciting possibility, I would definitely consider it!
Just out of random curiousity - how long are they on the ship if you do ocean cargo? My BIL was transferred to and from Maui in the last couple of years, but I never asked how long his stuff took to get there.
